Deputy hospitalized following collision

A Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputy was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after his squad car was struck by a tractor-trailer rig on Interstate 25.A spokesman says the officer was responding to another accident when the collision occurred near I-25 and Tramway shortly after midnight.

Teamsters to vote on master freight pact

Approximately 75,000 Teamsters nationwide will vote, starting in mid-January, on the National Master Freight Agreement the union reached with a group of trucking companies in mid-December. The vote will follow a Jan. 8 meeting at Teamsters headquarters in Washington, D.C., for local leaders to go over details of the 5-year pact, the union added. Negotiators are recommending its ratification.

Frederick man killed in crash on U.S. 15

A Frederick, Md., man was killed early Monday in a two-vehicle collision near at the U.S. 15 bridge near the Maryland/Virginia state line in Frederick County.Police said the operator of a Jeep Cherokee was traveling south at approximately 4:30 a.m. and lost control on the icy bridge when he veered into the northbound lane and was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Man 27 struck by tractor trailer on I-495

Delaware State Police are investigating an early morning accident on I-495 where a man was struck by a tractor trailer, said Sgt. Kelli Starr-Leach, a spokesperson with New Castle County Paramedics.
