A Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputy was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after his squad car was struck by a tractor-trailer rig on Interstate 25.A spokesman says the officer was responding to another accident when the collision occurred near I-25 and Tramway shortly after midnight.
Both directions of the interstate were closed for about an hour while officers investigated and cleared the crash scene.
Officials say that the deputies injuries are not life threatening.
