UPDATE: Ohio 339 Opened at 3:30pm

It could be as late as 5:00 pm Monday before both lanes of Ohio State Route 339 are re-opened to traffic.

An accident shut down Route 339 at about 12:15 pm Monday, about three miles north of the Route 50 / Route 339 interchange at Porterfield.
Drivers are urged to avoid this section of 339.

UPDATE:
No injuries were reported and Route 339 re-opened at 3:30 this afternoon.

Tractor trailer rollover on SR 37 Redwood

State Police say a tractor trailer driver was going too fast for conditions when he rolled his rig in Redwood.

The tractor trailer veered out of control on the slush-covered highway, jackknifed, knocked down a power pole and overturned. It happened about 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Frederick man killed in crash on U.S. 15

A Frederick, Md., man was killed early Monday in a two-vehicle collision near at the U.S. 15 bridge near the Maryland/Virginia state line in Frederick County.Police said the operator of a Jeep Cherokee was traveling south at approximately 4:30 a.m. and lost control on the icy bridge when he veered into the northbound lane and was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Winds gust but cause few problems

Despite gusts of up to 75 mph, the Inland region was mostly spared Monday from any major wind-fueled wrecks or damage heading into the New Year.

The California Highway Patrol advised against traveling in large trucks, motor homes and SUVs on Interstate 15 through in the pass while the wind advisory was in effect.

Man 27 struck by tractor trailer on I-495

Delaware State Police are investigating an early morning accident on I-495 where a man was struck by a tractor trailer, said Sgt. Kelli Starr-Leach, a spokesperson with New Castle County Paramedics.
